What vitamins help with hot flushes and night sweats?

There is limited evidence that vitamins alone reduce hot flushes or night sweats, but maintaining healthy levels of vitamin D, vitamin E, and B vitamins may support overall menopausal health.

Clinical Context

Women experiencing troublesome symptoms should discuss vitamin use with their GP, especially before starting supplements, as high doses can have risks. Testing for vitamin D deficiency may be helpful in some cases.

Evidence-Based Approaches

Clinical guidelines recommend vitamins as part of an overall healthy lifestyle, but not as a substitute for evidence-based menopause treatments. See NICE menopause guidance.
