How long do clitoral enhancement results last?
The effects of clitoral enhancement with laser, if any, are typically temporary—lasting from several weeks to a few months. Results are variable and long-term safety and efficacy are not well established.
Detailed Medical Explanation
There is little published research on the duration of clitoral laser enhancement effects. Most available data suggest that increased blood flow or sensitivity is short-lived, often requiring repeated treatments for maintenance. The regenerative effects (if any) are not proven to persist long-term. More studies are needed for safety and durability. See FDA Safety Communication and NICE guidance.
Clinical Context
Patients considering clitoral laser should be counselled that any perceived benefits may fade and require repeat sessions. Risks of cumulative exposure are not yet known.
Evidence-Based Approaches
Leading authorities emphasise the lack of robust clinical trials and urge caution. See RCOG.
