This course is aimed at any level practitioner planning on working with, or buying an Nd:YAG laser tattoo removal device  for use in a multitude of cosmetic/aesthetic procedures ranging from tattoo removal to pigmentation and blood vessel reduction

For those wishing for extra support, there is an option to have the advanced in-house training days ( typically 2 full days)  on site to gain further confidence in running all aspects of a clinic from consultation through to treatment and documentation.

Course Description

This course gives a comprehensive insight into many topics relating to Nd:YAG, from it’s mechanism, to practical safety and hazard management and practical use.

In the Health Education England (HEE) recent guidance on non-surgical cosmetic procedures

Several reports were compiled aimed at “improving and standardising the training available to practitioners who carry out hair restoration surgery and non-surgical cosmetic procedures, such as botox, chemical peels and laser hair removal.” Their suggestions include CoK as a basic principle of any laser user’s education, and this module must have been studied ( or proof of existing study and the syllabus covered)

Several topics are covered and some product information included. There is a theoretical assessment  to be completed online to give evidence of understanding. There is also a practical session covering the treatments to be delivered.

Aims

  1. Gives clear understanding of the science behind laser and light therapy
  2. Learn how to provide treatments using Nd:YAG machines
  3. Give confidence to provide effective treatments to clients
  4. Gain understanding into the responsibilities of the technician
  5. Know how to apply the ‘Core of Knowledge’ in order to comply with HEE and MHRA guidelines
  6. Provided with tools necessary to develop your own documentation

Course Structure

A day's worth of training

This course provides a day’s theoretical training. Candidates will have access to the materials prior to the session to give some background reading. 

Watch the treatment

There will be the opportunity to watch a treatment being performed by the trainer and to treat models during the session to improve your skills and you will be assessed,

Assessment

After the training there is a theoretical assessment to test your knowledge.

Certificate

Upon completion of the assessment, you will receive a certificate of competence.

Post competition

Access to your own  portal containing your certificates and access to all the online forms along with client and promotional leaflets and banners and your addition to the  network of practitioners, which will drive clients to your clinic for our treatments.
