Interest in ADHD and menstrual-cycle changes is growing, but individual experiences are not all the same. Focus, mood, sleep and energy can also be affected by stress, pain, bleeding, other health conditions and medicines.
A consistent record can make the conversation more specific. Note cycle day, bleeding, sleep, stress, key symptoms, medication timing and anything unusual. Looking across several cycles may show whether a pattern repeats.
Tracking does not identify the cause or tell you how to change treatment. Bring the record to an appropriate clinician, especially if symptoms are disruptive or medication feels less manageable.
